Tired of life in the city, Donna, a gay sex worker decided to move to a quiet, domestic life in the province. Her new yet simple life now consists, among other things, of taking care of Tomas, an OFW’s son. Donna eventually discovers that her former regular client is the town’s political power broker and mayor aspirant, Ricky Verano. Donna convinces herself that, in order to turn her life completely around – and keep the town from eventually becoming as corrupt and rotten as the city – Verano’s opponent, the idealist & political neophyte, Pepe Holganza must win the election. Donna’s machinations proved successful but at what cost?
CHARACTERS:
Ramon – Male, late 20s to early 30s. Pepe Holganza’s nephew. Assists in the campaign of his uncle. A man of the people, Ramon is approachable and upbeat. If people only knew he had a dark side.
Tomas – Male, 10 to 13 years old. Donna’s ward. Quiet, introspective. His dream is to someday visit the big city.
Ricky – Male, 40s to 50s. Political powerbroker. He is sophisticated, yet cunning. A believer in the adage “never let them know what you’re thinking”. Verano has learned the art of letting other people do the dirty work for him.
Pepe – Male, 50s to 60s. Middle age, heavyset. Country doctor. Political neophyte. Hopeless idealist. He is everybody’s ideal father or grandfather.

a. ALL AUDITIONEES MUST PREPARE A SHORT STOCK PERFORMANCE IN TAGALOG. AFTER APPOINTMENTS ARE CONFIRMED, SIDES OR SCRIPT EXCERPTS WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL.
b. PLEASE BRING 2 PHOTOS (PREFERABLY HEADSHOTS) & RESUMÉ (PREFERABLY PERFORMER PORTFOLIO).
c. THE MAIN ACTORS MUST BE WILLING TO SHOOT IN SOUTHERN CEBU (70KM FROM CEBU CITY) FOR 14 STRAIGHT DAYS, AUGUST 29 – SEPTEMBER 11, 2010.
d. MAIN ACTORS SHOULD SET ASIDE THE WEEK PRIOR TO SHOOTING SCHEDULE (OR AUGUST 22-28) FOR ORIENTATION, REHEARSALS & FURTHER CHARACTER STUDY WITH THE CREATIVE TEAM. ALL ACTORS ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE FULLY STUDIED THEIR CHARACTERS IN THE ABSENCE OF INTENSIVE WORKSHOPS.
