Madrid, otoño del 2002. Pablo López, treintañero, trabaja en un banco de inversiones y está harto de todo. Una mañana su coche choca con el descapotable de una arrogante conductora, que lo denuncia. Así que Pablo decide dedicarse a hacerle la vida imposible. Hasta que conoce a María, la hermana quinceañera de la conductora. Y ese día su vida da un giro espectacular. Cínico, resentido, Pablo jamás pensó que su existencia pudiera volver a tener sentido. Y ahora que el amor ha estallado ante sus ojos, siente que no debe, no puede enamorarse de una chica de quince años.
Based on a novel by Lorenzo Silva, this movie deals with the unusual and tragic relationship between a frustrated businessman and a 14-year-old student. After crashing into the rear of the car in front of him, Pablo Lopez starts arguing with the other driver, Sonsoles, who finally files for an injury claim against him. Therefore, the angry manager starts harassing her and observes her younger sister Maria in her schoolyard. When he gets to know the intelligent girl, his perception of life is changed totally, but their friendship leads into a tragedy…
